Radditz: " So this is the Tenkaiichi-Budoukai... " (Note: Radditz now wears a light green T-Shirt with the letter " Z " printed on the front, and blue jeans.)
Piccolo: " Un. Everyone should be here in a few moments. "
Goten: " Ah! Piccolo-san! Radditz! It?s been awhile!!! "
Trunks: " Hi, you guys! "
Piccolo: " Goten, Trunks. So you came... "
Gohan: " And we?re here as well! "
Piccolo: " Gohan! Trunks. Well it seems everyone is here. "
??????: " We?re back, you guys! Hey! Who are...? "
The Z senshi noticed the three girls coming toward them, each with a big cup of Pop-corn. Bulma was obviously one of the three, but the other two were unknown. One of them, who had long blond hair and wore a white T-shirt and thight blue jeans, joined Goten. The other had a braid of long red hair and wore a tight yellow dress, and went to grab Trunks? arm and lay her head on his shoulder. Bulma settled between the two couples.
Goten (to the girl with him): " Well, these are our friends! My brother Gohan, Piccolo-san, Radditz and the one we call 'Future Trunks'. "
??????: " The one from the future, right? "
Gohan: " Goten! Who...? "
Goten: " This is my girlfriend, Noodle... "
Trunks: " ...And this is my girlfriend, Pudding! " The others stood with their mouths wide open...
Bulma: " Ah! Glad to see you again! It?s been a long time! "
Gohan: " Hi, Bulma! Hey, Goten! How did you meet her? "
Bulma: " I introduced them to Goten and Trunks. They?re my friends! "
Goten: " Well, let?s register already! We don?t want to be late! "
Pudding: " We?ll wait for your return! Better get to the finals! "
Trunks (thumb up): " No problem! "
The Z senshi all registered and went inside. There, Gohan and Future Trunks noticed three people they knew...
Gohan: " Jacky-san! Krilin! Jin! You?re here! "
Piccolo: " Gohan, who?s that kid? "

And so everyone did. After the draw was over, the Z senshi and the Kame school compared their numbers.
Goten: " I?ve got # 49. "
Trunks: " I?m # 145. "
Gohan: " I?ve got # 41. What do you got, Trunks? "
F.Trunks: " I?m # 72... "
Piccolo: " I?m # 109. And you Radditz? "
Radditz: " I?m # 5. "
Gohan: " How about you, Jacky? "
Jacky: " Looks like I?ve got # 30. Krilin? "
Krilin: " I?m # 113. "
Jacky: " And you Jin? "
Jin: " I?m # 115. "
Anouncer: " Your attention please! Now that the numbers are drawn, let me explain the board. Numbers 1 to 22 will fight on ring 1, division A; # 23 to 45 will also fight on ring 1, but in division B; # 46 to 67 fight on ring 2, division A; # 68 to 91: ring 2, division B; # 92 to 113: ring 3A; # 114 to 136: ring 3B; # 137 to 158: ring 4A; and finally, # 159 to 182 will fight on ring 4, division B. Piccolo (low voice): " Gohan! I tried my best. We?ll all get in the finals. "
Gohan (low voice): " Is Jin able to get to the finals? "
Piccolo (low voice): " Hai, I made it so. I also brought Tenshinhan to the finals. "
Gohan: " Tenshinhan? "
Piccolo: " Didn?t you notice him? "
Piccolo: " I gave him # 169. "
Gohan: " What about Chaozu? "
Piccolo: " I didn?t care. "
Gohan: " O.K. everyone! Let?s get to the finals! " The Z senshi split up and Gohan, Jacky Chun and Radditz went together to ring 1. After two matches, it was Radditz?s turn.

Gohan: " I know you must hold your punches as well if you don?t want to do serious damage. "
Jacky: " ... "
The match started. Radditz was fighting against a punk guy with a purple mohawk. Radditz simply grabbed his arm and slamed him out of the ring. He got off the ring, confident.
Anouncer: " Winner: # 5! "
Radditz: " I wonder how well I can do against you guys, though... " The fights went on and on until finally Jacky Chun met Gohan for the title of finalist. Chun started the match with a punch but Gohan dodged and hand-chopped his opponent to the mat. Jacky got up with his eyes wide open in amazement. Slowly, he walked to the edge of the ring and dropped out.
Anouncer: " Winner: # 41! You are a finalist! "
Gohan: " Why did you do that for? "
Jacky: " I was looking for someone to beat my student, Jin. I found him in you. " Gohan slowly made a smile that displayed understanding.
Gohan: " Well, Radditz. We?re both finalists so let?s go see how the others did. "
Radditz (smiling): " They all won, obviously. "
Future Trunks was with Goten on ring 2. Goten got an easy run up to being a finalist, but Trunks met someone strange on his last match. He was against a guy called Chaozu. He knew about him, he was Tenshinhan?s friend, but Chaozu had an evil aura around him. Since Goten had never really known Chaozu either, he couldn?t be of help. Trunks stepped in the ring with him and the fight started. Immediately, Chaozu used a strange power on Trunks. He noticed that this power would have affected him if he hadn?t been that strong. Chaozu was speechless (and terrified) when he saw that his power had no effect. Trunks dashed in and punched Chaozu in the air and smashed him back to the ground outside the ring.
Anouncer: " Winner and finalist: # 72! "
F.Trunks: " Maybe we should speak about him to Gohan-san. "
Goten: " Hai. "
Piccolo went to ring 3 along with Krilin and Jin. He knew Krilin would not defeat him, but he had no choice but to eliminate him early on because the little guy wouldn?t have made the cut against the Z senshi. Jin, on the other hand, had no tough opponent to fight on his way to the finals because Piccolo had made it so with his magic. Piccolo ultimately faced Krilin on his third match.
Anouncer: " The match will be between # 109 and # 113. "
Ma: " Feels like Deja vu, does it not? " Of course, Piccolo was thinking about his fight with Krilin in the 23rd tournament.
Krilin: " I don?t know what you mean...? Let?s fight! " Piccolo took care of Krilin in a single hit and helped him up after the fight.
Anouncer: " Winner: # 109! "
Ma: " Don?t worry, Krilin. You?ll become a great warrior. Don?t give up! "
Krilin: " But I lost so easily... "
Ma: " That?s because I?m extremely good. If you train hard enough, you?ll eventualy become a great fighter! "
Krilin: " Domo. But I still lost... "
Ma: " Hey! I don?t make the rules! "
In the end, Jin and Piccolo became the two finalists of the group. The three then went back to find the others...
The Z senshi as well as the Kame school rejoined after their fights. After a brief discussion about who was finalist and who was not (and Piccolo bragging about having already heard everything with his superhuman hearing...), the Z senshi put their attention on Tenshinhan and Chaozu.
Gohan: " When I started fighting against Vegita-san and Nappa, Chaozu was not strong enough to withstand our power...or theirs. So I don?t really know much about him. Of all of us, Pic...Ma-san is the one to know the most. "
Ma: " I don?t know too much myself. I know that he was nearly killed in the 23rd Tenkaiichi-Budoukai by Tao Pai Pai. Tenshinhan took his revenge in the finals by easily beating him. I don?t know what we can do with him. As for Tenshinhan, he?s the eighth finalist. " Piccolo voluntarily withheld the fact that Piccolo Daimaou had killed Chaozu after being given his youth back by Shen Long...
F.Trunks: " He?s a finalist? "
Ma: " Hai. But he?s not the same. He looks...evil. Like Chaozu. "
F.Trunks: " What can we do to turn them to our side? "
Gohan: " I suppose we can try to talk them in, but I don?t know if we can do it. "
F.Trunks: " We have to try. "

Anouncer: " The eight finalists should now report to the main hall for the draw! "
Ma: " Time to go. "
Trunks: " Yeah. You?ll cheer for me, my little pudding? "

Anouncer: " Number 7! You?ll be fighting Son Goten-san in the fourth match! "

Gohan (cutting in): " ...in a cartoon with a guy called Homer! I know! "

Anouncer: " You now know who you?ll be facing and the rules of the tournament. When you hear your name, please get onto the ring! "
The gong was heard and the anouncer came out on the ring, speaking in his mike.
Anouncer: " Ladies and gentlemen! For your pleasure only, the tournament will now begin! We will present to you this year?s 8 finalists. You guess which one of them will win the fabulous prize money of 500000 Zeni! Let?s begin with the first match! Tenshinhan vs Jin! "
Anouncer: " Let me present to you Jin, a student of master Mutenroshi also called Kamesennin, and also the current champion of the world!!!!! " The crowd cheered for him.
Anouncer: " And to my left is his opponent, Tenshinhan, a student of Tsurusennin, Kamesennin? rival! This is a very promising match up! "
Anouncer: " And now, gentlemen, FIGHT! "
Tenshinhan: " You don?t know what you?re up against! "
Jin: " And you?re not even scary! "
Tenshinhan: " You insolent brat! "
Tenshinhan dashed at Jin and unleashed a flurry of attacks that Jin blocked with difficulty. Tenshinhan then punched him in the air and jumped at him, connecting with a kick, and then smashed him back to the ground. As Tenshin landed, Jin got up, unbothered.
Tenshinhan: " What!? "
Jin: " Is that it? My turn! "
Jin dashed at Tenshin, but was dodged and countered. Tenshin then attacked with a knee drop on the downed Jin and jumped away. Jin got back up, smiling. He then tried a kick followed by an uppercut, but Tenshin dodged once more and countered with a fierce side kick. Jin was blown away and landed near the edge of the ring. He got back up again, unaffected. Jin, then smiled in an evil way and attacked. Tenshin got punched in the jaw, the ribs, the stomach and the legs and was finally uppercutted high in the air. Jin charged up a Kamehameha and threw it at his opponent. In mid-air, Tenshin did a strange hand gesture and closed his hands together, index fingers pointing toward the sky. The energy beam connected with Tenshin?s hands and was blown back at it?s sender! Jin dodged the blast, which left a huge hole in the ring?s ground and Tenshin landed. Jin looked surprised and disappointed.
Jin: " It was such a cool combo...and you ruined it! You?re gonna pay! "
Jin launched himself at his opponent, grabbed him by the neck and unleashed a flurry of punches so fast only the Z senshi could see them. Jin kept punching and punching until he felt no more resistance and let go of the knocked-out Tenshinhan.
Anouncer: " After such an awesome attack, Tenshinhan is down! 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9... "
Anouncer: " 10! Tenshinhan has lost and therefore, the champion Jin is the winner of the first match! " The crowd cheered Jin as medics came to pick up Tenshinhan.
Gohan: " Tenshinhan was the winner of this tournament in our timeline. Jin is really somebody. "
Ma: " I see what you mean. I never thought he was that strong! "
Gohan: " He pretended to be slower than Tenshinhan to trick him, and then went to full strength! "
F.Trunks: " Where is this guy from anyway? " Since this question sounded like it had no known answer, Radditz and Gohan went on to the damaged ring.
Anouncer: " The ring has been damaged but there?s nothing we can do about it, folks! The next competitors will have to cope with it! "
Anouncer: " Speaking of competitors, here are the next two fighters in this already impressive tournament! I now present Radditz and Son Gohan! "
Anouncer: " These two are completely new to the tournament finals, but all the finalists seem to know each other anyway! So now, let the second match begin! "
Radditz: " Piccolo-san has trained me well. "
Gohan: " We got the same training, I see. "
Radditz: " I?m much stronger than I was 16 years ago, Gohan-san! "
Gohan: " Save your strength! You?re gonna need it! "
Who will win this match, Radditz or Gohan? Better yet, who will win the tournament??? Every Z senshi seems to have an equal chance and Jin is still as enigmatic and puzzling as ever!
